Great Guides = Great River Trips

At Mariah Wilderness Expeditions, we know that our great guides are the key ingredient to great river trips. They are sensitive, highly skilled in both running the rivers and preparing top-notch meals. Fun-loving, independent, yet perfect team-players, our guides are fascinated with the lives and stories that our wide variety of guests bring with them to our rivers.

Our guides are a part of the "Mariah Family”, returning to the enjoy the river year after year, and as a result are able to pay attention to the smallest details of providing a wonderful, exciting, and safe adventure for all of our guests. Each guide contributes something unique and special to the trip.  All of them have CPR certification, Advanced First Aid, and Swift Water Rescue; while most of them have participated in the California Park and Recreation Department’s River Interpretative programs.

Mariah Wilderness Expeditions' highly trained and experienced staff have a passion for the sport of whitewater rafting blended with a desire to introduce and share this magical activity with our guests. From your first call to our office staff to your experience with our river guides, camp store, employees, shuttle drivers, managers and owners, you'll find a team of people dedicated to making your visit to our California rivers an experience you'll never forget!
